Our international meeting is taking a turn in the Americas Region this year, following stops in Montreal, Canada (2023) and Münster, Germany (2024). The conference will be a unique blend of workshops, invited and student speakers, as well as poster sessions, which will all highlight the best examples and most exciting areas of development in MS imaging, including advances made possible by new instruments, technologies, and practices. In particular, the theme of the conference this year is “From Micro to Macro and Beyond!” which will highlight clinical, pharmaceutical, and other industrial applications. We will have an Opening Plenary Talk from Luoth Chou (NASA) and a Closing Plenary Talk from Julia Laskin (Purdue). We have an excellent array of sessions, chairs, and keynote speakers already confirmed.

The IMSIS-Americas deeply appreciates our partners supporting our educational efforts and outreach over the years. As you are aware, our group in the Americas, the Imaging Mass Spectrometry Society (IMSS) has recently formalized joining with the Mass Spectrometry Imaging Society (Europe) to form an international society, IMSIS. We are a rapidly growing community globally, due in part to sponsorships and participation in activities like this annual conference. We consider you a critical partner in promoting and educating scientists on new approaches to MS imaging. This year, we are expecting to have scientists working on innovative ways to combine spatial platforms with other high throughput platforms.

We are offering four sponsorship levels to choose from as well as other customizable events including a poster award, which has always been sought after by attendees, and a cocktail hour. I am providing a summary of the options for a quick overview at the end of this email, and I am attaching a prospectus. Let me know your choices early, informally is fine. Your sponsorship will not only help us underwrite the conference costs, but funds are also used to help support the attendance of speakers and will aid in reducing costs for trainees. That way I can reserve the sponsorship position for you – those with limits are first come, first served.
